Multiple Gmail accounts, HGTV and 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com

So, we  started doing this thing on the L.A. Times Travel Blog - good morning message with some highlights from the previous day and any kind of travel news I can mention before morning. I like the format so I'm going to try and do it here, too. Especially since I've been lax on the blogging and I really want to get back into it. Today you get some of my recent highlights—not necessarily from yesterday.

• I can check multiple Gmail accounts without having to sign in and out of each one with the Gmail Manager.  It lets me check the separate accounts just by refreshing or opening up the other one in a new window straight from the bottom of my Firefox browser.

• Current cheer me up activity - dreaming about getting a dog on 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com. John and I will probably debate what kind of dog to get right up until we do. He likes the little dogs that look grouchy like bulldogs and pugs. His compromise is a boxer, which I think still don't look very happy. I want a dog that looks like it's smiling - medium sized. But we can't have one until we get a house...so I just look at dogs on Save-A-Pet.

• Speaking of the someday house - I like to have HGTV on in the background so I can absorb household design on a dime knowledge. I've learned a lot - just can't wait to put it to good use!
