Leaving San Diego: I woke up exhausted. That rarely happens. Usually I wake up happy and ready to be in a Sprite TV commercial. But I am - I'm tired and ready to take a break from all of this. This emotional beating. I'm so sick of being upset every day. Jason and I are so blessed that our family is being supportive. My Uncle Jon has helped us every day we were working on cleaning my dad's condo. My grandparents are letting us use their garage for things we want to keep (so I don't have to get a third storage unit). And my other aunts and uncles have helped us with the bill. I am thankful at the exact same time I can't wait to get out of here. I leave today on Amtrak out of Oceanside and will cruise north county looking at Encinitas and Cardiff by the Sea on my way out.
Poker home game: Amtrak? Yes, I'm meeting our ole gang in L.A. for a poker home game. A tinge of fun before heading back to Vegas. It'll be great. Friends, fun, poker - what's that? I haven't played in months.
Virtual Assistants: In more good news, all three of the virtual assistant finalists are working on something. It's only been one day and I'm already getting the information and help I need to remove some bottlenecks. I'm thrilled about this.
Bonus item: My Uncle Jon wanted me to blog about where he took us to dinner last night. We went to the Chicken Pie Shop
in El Cajon. It's a good old fashioned comfort food joint with happy
chirpy waitresses. Here's a picture of the Chicken Pot Pie dinner as it
comes. I think this was less than $6. Mine looked just like that
except I had some chopped steak (hamburger patty) instead of the pie.
And it comes with your choice of pie - I had a little bit of cherry.
But I was so stuffed, even after only eating half my dinner, I couldn't
finish.
It's nice to have diner grandma food once in a while. And the slaw is goooood.

I see a hug coming on when I arrive in Vegas. I know what it's like to have to clean and sort through a life's belongings. Good work. You and Jason are certainly blessed with a great family.
