JEN: Anyway, I'm pounding away over here on double deadlines. I've got a big one I'm late on and it'll take me all day and night to finish it. And another one right behind it. Tomorrow will be rough. I want to get down to San Diego this week, but we'll see. I'm still waiting for checks to come in. Seems like everybody pays on a 6 week turnaround. That is one of the few downsides to being a freelancer.

JOHN: John's videos are getting better and better. I really liked the one he did with Kenna James about the new "Hand In Depth" feature. It's so cool. But the poker room shots of Main Event Day 1a are great. Justin the  camera guy is doing a fantastic job. I can't help but wonder if they'll be able to keep these up here in the States. Will our casinos be OK with inside video footage or is it just that Australia's Crown is hip to be cool?

RANDOM: Did you hear about the Ford Airstream concept? I absolutely don't know what to make of this. I like the idea of "a plug-in hydrogen hybrid fuel cell drive train that operates under electric power at all times" but are they targeting the druggie demographic or what? I think I'd rather have a regular Airstream (with a Sat dish on top) thank you very much!

BEST WORD I'VE HEARD: Fansourced, as in what the Shins did for their new album. I heard about it in the latest issue of Wired. Brilliant marketing. Makes me want to do it.
