My cousins Michelle and Katie are running it this year and I couldn't be more proud of them. They have never been serious atheletes or runners. Sure they've jogged a bit here and there, but this is a BIG undertaking for them. Brand new to living in NYC, the youngest sister, Katie, thought it'd be a great way to immerse herself in her new city. Who knew that both sisters would be able to get their name picked in the lottery? I'm very excited with them, struggling with the fact that I'm not there to cheer them on in person, or be there at the finish line. But at least I can watch online. If you can't tell, I'm very excited about this huge milestone in their lives. Run Leos Run!!!!

In a stroke of luck, Kris accidentally called me instead of Jon Leo. So, I got to hear that he had just seen them at the 8 mile marker. I've got my eye on the second cam. They're wearing pink v-neck shirts and have LEO duct taped across their front. Sadly, the bib tracker is still not working. But hopefully I'll catch them shortly at the 2nd cam. Go LEOS!!!!!

I just called Kris and I think they've passed mile 16. I went to Web cam 2. It hink I just saw this. But of course, I thought I saw them on this same webcam about 30-40 minutes ago. Twice.
It's really hard to look for them. Wait. Now I REALLY think I just saw Michelle. If the duct tape is near her stomach, that might've been her. Oh boy, well, at least I'm entertaining John who's listening to my shout outs from the other room.

They made it! I was so eager to say Congrats that I forgot to ask what their times were. But they both made it through, without injury, and their dad and friends were on the other side to meet them.
