Cindy Margolis Playboy Issue is Here

It's here. The December issue of Playboy! I'm not one to run out and buy an issue of Playboy (though I did when Phil Gordon wrote an article about poker home games) but I'm tempted to this month for Cindy Margolis. I met her when I was writing a feature about her for Woman Poker Player. It was the night her husband's night club opened up in the Valley, Guy's North. She is an amazing woman, and smarter and more generous than any one could imagine. What really impressed me was the fact that when I introduced myself, for just a second before being diverted by the crowd, she remembered me and called me by name several hours later in a different hall of the packed and pulsating club. That's professionialism. I meet lots of people and it is extremely hard to remember names in a packed house when you're meeting one person after the next. Nearly impossible for me.

So, the amazing supermodel and mother of three is this month's centerfold. I was immediately hopefull that this would boost the number of players at her new online poker room, www.cindyspoker.com, but when I went there, nada. So, why nude, why now? After years of Cindy turning the gig down, she was surprised that Hugh still wanted her. As told to the AP the other day,

But,this year, when I got the call from Mr. Hefner, it was my 40th birthday.So I thought, "Wow — at 40, they still want me?" And I thought it's almost an inspiration — like a "you go, girl"        moment. I feel empowered that you can be married and have three children and still be sexy and confident and look great.

My mom would have killed me before, but I'm an adult woman now, and I'm ready to show the world that you can have it all at 40 — be fabulous, 40, and pose for Playboy.
